Prep III partook in a Friday adventure back to the Stone Age. Tatten Hall was our location and after a smooth minibus journey, we dove straight into activities.  We started by discovering Old Stone Age tools like axes and arrows.  We completed some ‘gathering’ activities and collected imaginary insects, berries, honey and fruits. We also discovered ‘hunting’ tools and what they were made from. We then learnt how the Stone Age people developed into farmers, by planting seeds and herding animals.  We used animal bones as tools, like shovels.

After a spot of lunch, we proceeded to create shelters – with mixed success – and use wattle and daub to create a more advanced shelter. We finished the day by creating fire using flint and steel – where Freddie showed off his skills. What an amazing day!
