As we have been learning about Harvest Festival in Kindergarten, today we used some vegetables to
make our very own vegetable soup. The children worked hard to peel and chop the vegetables using
our child-friendly tools, before adding everything to the pot. We used:

  • 1 leek
  • 2 sweet potatoes
  • 1 parsnip
  • 3 carrots
  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • We added water to the pot and let it cook slowly throughout the morning. Once all of the vegetable
were cooked and felt nice and soft, we used a blender to make it smooth. Then it was time for the
best bit … time to taste it along with some bread and butter. Everyone had a taste of the soup, with
some asking for a second helping!
A soup-er morning in Kindergarten!
