The Junior Schools Cross Country Championships took place at Scarisbrick in challenging conditions. The course was muddy and waterlogged, with strong winds and freezing temperatures, but our prep runners rose confidently to the occasion.

From the outset, Albie showed great determination, setting his sights firmly on a top-five finish. He made an excellent, fast start and led the race for the opening 300 metres. Demonstrating outstanding mental resilience, Albie fought hard throughout the race and produced a powerful sprint over the final 200 metres to cross the line in an impressive second place. This exceptional performance has earned him qualification for the National Championships.

All of our runners faced their own physical and mental challenges on the course, showing resilience and determination from start to finish. Congratulations to every runner for their effort, commitment, and refusal to give up.
