Joe’s Throw into National Reckoning!

We are often surprised by the achievements of our students outside school, and none more so recently that Prep IV’s Joe. Representing Salford Met., Joe recently recorded a javelin throw of 22.96 metres, not only a personal best but a throw that took him to the current ranking of number 2 in the country for his age group! He still has a little way to go to equal Steve Backley’s British record throw of 91.46 metres, but he’s well on his way – watch this space!
