Prep I finished their ‘Fire of London’ topic with a bang this week.

As part of our topic the children created their own houses in the style of the houses that would have been in London in 1666.  Today the weather was kind enough for us to go outside and burn them down. This was a great opportunity for us to recap all we have learned this half term. Mr. Rooney and Mrs. Booth came along to watch and were very impressed with the children’s knowledge and enthusiasm.

Many thanks to Mr. Ward and the maintenance team for keeping us safe and starting the fire for us and then making sure it was put out safely.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it really brought the topic to life.
