The Bridgewater Prep. Pupil Voice Ambassadors have had many achievements since their inception including ideas to improve our department and to raise money for several charities. Friday’s Children In Need Toy Fair was on of highlights of these achievements.
Thanks to Toban’s brilliant idea several weeks ago we invited families to empty their toy rooms and cupboards of unwanted toys in readiness of a visit from a jolly man in a red suit.
The toys were assembled in the Prep Hall in to categories of toy and price. Our customers would spend no more than £5 on an item and as little as £1 to secure a bargain.
The store opened like Harrods’ on Boxing Morning 1985! The children loved the items on sale and surrounded each stall excitedly. The ambassadors were impeccable with their selling skills and the customers learned many money exchange skills using real money.
The items reduced from their hundreds to a box full by the end of the morning. The ambassadors high fived each other as the news of takings had reached £622! This was the the largest amount ever raised by Bridgewater Prep for Children in Need showing the power of the pupil voice and their ambassadors and of course Pudsey Bear!

Brilliant news! Well done!
