Reception Class have been eagerly learning about Lunar New Year in preparation for next week’s special festival. They enjoyed exploring the story of the animals of the Chinese zodiac, writing about the year they were born, and drawing their zodiac animal, as well as a temple.

The children used their senses to experience the celebration, tasting a variety of foods including lychees. One of our mums, Ms. Li, kindly came in to talk to the children about Lunar New Year and how her family prepares for and celebrates the occasion together. We even learned some Cantonese and Mandarin greetings!

The children were also gifted a dragon puppet to make at home. Thank you, Ms. Li!
