Prep V produced a composed 6–3 win against Ellenbrook School in a match that was tighter than the final scoreline suggests. The first half was competitive, with both sides trading chances before Prep V edged ahead 3–1 at the break. The highlight was Dexter’s superb goal — a sharp turn and swivel showing excellent control before firing into the far corner. At the back, Carlo and Austin marshalled the defence with quiet confidence, keeping things organised under pressure.
In the second half, Austin switched into goal and did his job calmly, while Toban, Jo and Dexter showed real poacher’s instinct to keep the scoreboard moving. Sam was solid in his holding midfield role, breaking up play and chipping in with the occasional shot from distance.
It wasn’t the noisiest or most flamboyant team performance, but Prep V stayed disciplined, took their chances, and ultimately got the job done. Well done boys.
