The U11 girls were in action first in a multi school netball tournament at Hulme Hall.  Playing against some larger and well organised schools, the girls performed well, finishing 4th in their pool of 8 teams.  As well as strong performances on the court, most pleasing was the collective vote by opposition teams and coaches, awarding our girls the sportsmanship and best team spirit award.  The continued practise the girls put in shows in their improvement on the court.  Bridgewater player of the tournament was Zara who has noticeably improved her match play and footwork.

The U11 boys (apologies for the lack of a team photo) were in action at Cheadle Hulme.  With one win and two draws, their chances of progressing to the semi-finals rested on that most wicked of fates, the penalty shoot out.  England have been improving in their recent shoot outs – sadly, in a game which Bridgewater probably should have won in normal time, it was our boys who were edged out on penalties.  Once again though, they were exemplary in their efforts and team spirit.
