Girls’ netball development and success

27th February- U11 Netball v Wardle

After a lunch time Netball practice and a Netball lesson in the afternoon, the U11 Netball team were fully prepared to take on Wardle in the Worsley schools Netball league. All 6 girls played some outstanding Netball with all of the girls having the opportunity to shoot as the game was High 5. The final score was 8-2 with Anya being named as player of the match for her good play in all 4 positions she played. This was a super team performance and much improved. The practice we have been doing on our shooting has definitely paid off!

16th January- U11 Netball v Pownall

The U11 team travelled to Pownall to compete in their first Netball fixture of 2019. Although both teams had equal possession, we struggled to get the ball through the net and lots the game 1-8. However full credit must be given to our defenders who worked hard to turn the ball over and gained lots of fantastic interceptions. Player of the match was awarded to Freya for her fantastic work ethic playing both C and GA. A promising start to the year for a competitive group of girls.
