On Monday Key Stage 1 went back in time at Dunham Massey, experiencing life as a young Victorian worker. We spent the morning trying to track down a poacher for Mr Adams, the gamekeeper. Thankfully, we succeeded in working out who it was and were then able to assist Mrs Collins in the big house in the afternoon. We had to help prepare the house for Christmas – making pomanders, chocolate bread, Christmas crackers and other chores. Mrs Stamford – the lady of the house – was most impressed with our work. She said we could apply for a job at Dunham Massey; maybe as a chimney sweep! We have sent our CVs in already!
