The pupils of Bridgewater Prep are encouraged to have a ‘pupil voice’ with a suggestion box available as well as each class having Pupil Voice Ambassadors who are elected each term to share the views of their classmates in a meeting with Mr Rooney and other ambassadors. Mr Rooney’s annual development plan for the department has already been influenced by the views of our pupils and we have lobbied Salford Council for improved road safety measures outside school.

The latest task for the cabinet of ambassadors has been to develop some ideas to raise money for Children In Need. The overwhelming choice of the pupils has been to have a Non-Uniform and Cake Sale day in Prep. Hence, our children arrived in school today in a variety of outfits, many adorned with Pudsey Bear, and trays of cakes – thank you so much for your generosity! The Pupil Voice Ambassadors set up for the sale, and manned the stalls for the many excited, hungry children.

We have yet to receive a final total of money raised, but we are sure it will be a generous one! Thank you so much again for your support – and well done to our Ambassadors for making our children’s voice heard!

The sale was really successful and I loved selling the cakes for Children In Need! 🙂
