This half term, Prep IV have been learning all about the Winter Olympics, and we were set a fun challenge β to create our own Winter Olympic projects at home! Everyone worked really hard and the results were amazing. We took part in Winter Olympic teams on TTRockstars too!
We started by researching different Winter Olympic sports like skiing, ice hockey, figure skating and bobsleigh. We found out which countries take part, what equipment is used and some interesting facts about the athletes.
At home, we used lots of creative ideas and materials. Some children made detailed posters with bright colours and labels. Others built models using cardboard, recycled materials and even cotton wool for snow!
It was exciting to see how everyoneβs project was different. While working on our projects, we practised research skills, creativity and independence. We also had fun explaining our work to our families.
When we brought the projects into school, we shared them with the class. It felt great to talk about what we had learned and to see our classroom turn into a Winter Olympic gallery. We are very proud of our hard work.
Well done, Prep IV β you really went for gold!

Well done Mrs. Booth for highlighting such a current event and encouraging the children to be involved in winter sports. All the pupils seemed to be very proud of their projects. Hopefully they will now be cheering on Team GB!
I loved making mine because it was such fun.
I loved presenting my project and listening to others.
