Mrs. Tunney and Mr. Connolly are challenging all our junior children (Prep III to Prep VI) to run 26 miles before we finish the academic year in July to develop fitness, resilience and a love of running. Each child will receive a card with 26 stars. Each time a pupil runs a mile, teachers or parents can colour and initial a star to confirm they have completed that mile.  The children will show Mrs. Tunney once they have completed all 26 miles and a certificate of achievement will be awarded.

Mrs. Tunney will be speaking to each class about the challenge, but the children can include running that they do in school lessons and clubs as well as clubs outside school and even going for a jog with their parents! Although a measured run with an electronic device would be great, all we expect is the children to have a go and hopefully improve their love of running.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Tunney.
