Prep Five have been studying the rainforest in Geography this half term, and in Art we have learnt about the French artist Henri Rousseau, an nineteenth century painter. Rousseau painted many rainforest pictures, claiming to have visited the jungle during his army career. In fact, he never left France, and his pictures were based on animals in Paris Zoo and his plants were copied from the botanical gardens.

We studied “Tiger in a Tropical Storm”, and created pictures with our own rainforest animals hiding in the trees – can you spot them?
