Prep VI footballers played a gruelling and closely contested match against local rivals Christ the King.
The first half was dominated by the opposition, giving them a comfortable lead. Ibrahim made several excellent saves in goal, while Victor worked tirelessly in attack to keep Bridgewater in the game.
Things began to improve when Bridgewater were awarded a penalty. Victor confidently converted the spot kick, bringing the half-time score to 5–3 in favour of Christ the King.
In the second half, Bridgewater started to play much better as a team, moving the ball well and linking up with some excellent passing. Their determination paid off as they fought back to make the score 6–6 with just 30 seconds remaining.
Unfortunately, Christ the King managed to score a late winner, leaving Bridgewater to miss out by just one goal.
Well done to the boys for their fantastic effort and for never giving up.
Player of the Match: Noah – well deserved!
