Today, the Environmental Club put aside their litter pickers and took part in the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch 2026. Instead of collecting rubbish, members spent time quietly observing wildlife on the school’s front lawn. We carefully recorded the different bird species we spotted. The most common birds were chaffinches, robins and blackbirds. This activity encouraged us to slow down, appreciate nature, and reminded us that wildlife can be found right on our doorstep. What birds might you discover in your garden?
