We love hearing about our children’s activities outside school, and were delighted to hear of Benjamin’s recent footballing success.
Mum wrote, “On top of all his sporting activities with school, Prep IV’s Benjamin also plays for FC Bridgewater Tornadoes. Over the past few weeks team have been competing in the Bolton, Bury and district football league festival cup. They made it through a tense semi final last week which saw them go to extra time and penalties. The final took place this Saturday at Manchester City academy grounds against Wigan Town. The FC Bridgewater team were confident going in to it having beating this team twice already this year in other competitions. They played fantastically on the day, playing some great passing football, with Benjamin playing in defence and making some great tackles. They won 3-1 to lift the trophy and take home some well deserved winners medals!”
Well done Benjamin. Mr. Connolly will be looking for some of that defensive solidity next season for the U10s!
