Prep IV travelled to the impressive surroundings of the Manchester Metropolitan University sports ground to take part in a mini round robin tournament that included Bury, Scarisbick Hall and Oldham Hulme.
In the first two games, the team faced well-drilled and well-organised sides in Bury and Scarisbrick, and despite the best efforts of the boys went down to 3-0 and 2-0 losses. However, undeterred, the boys rallied against Oldham Hulme and goals from Oscar and Henry saw Bridgewater run out deserved winners. The team demonstrated great resilience to come back from the earlier setbacks, and find a way to win.
Special mention must go to Henry, who was voted Bridgewater Player of the Tournament by his fellow players – we hope he enjoys his Haribo mix!
