A select team of girls from Prep IV, V and VI attended the Manchester City training facilities this morning for a Football Festival. Given that these girls have not played a great deal of competitive football, it was delightful to see some of the good football our girls played, and also to see how they developed in the games, especially in their last two matches. Sadly, it was the curse of the penalty shootout defeat that stopped our progress in the tournament but the girls – Amelia, Zara and Maia in particular shone throughout – can certainly be proud of their performances and the team spirit shown.
