The children in Kindergarten have been having lots of fun in the kitchen this half term.  So far we have made and buttered toast, iced biscuits, baked chocolate chip shortbread and explored what happens to eggs when they are cooked.

These activities aren’t only delicious and fun, they also provide fantastic learning opportunities.  They help the children to develop their physical skills as they stir, mix and roll out dough, they learn to count accurately as they count chocolate buttons onto their biscuits, and they witness change of state as the eggs fry and scramble.

I wonder what will be next on our Kindergarten Menu?
