Congratulations to the Blue House who are the first ever winners of the Bridgewater Prep Virtual Sports Day. After two days of competition this week, of activities designed to do at home or in school, it resulted in a resounding win for the Blue House. EYFS children competed for points in the hurdles, book balance, speed bounce, sock putt and the sock and spoon race. Yes, that’s the sock putt and not a spelling error!
Meanwhile, Prep I-VI were set similar challenges as EYFS, but also included a 1km run, standing long and triple jumps, the tennis ball throw and the alternate hand ball toss. We are delighted that along with the 30 children who participated in the Sports Days in school, that another 92 of you joined in at home! The photos and videos you send us are amazing and you can see a selection below on the blog, but also on Twitter and the Bridgewater Facebook page.
Thank you to everyone who helped to make this such a fun and worthwhile event and we would like to wish you all a safe and wonderful summer. We hope to see you all in September, when we may also complete our more traditional Sports Day!
Well done everyone, an outstanding effort! Thank you to Mrs and Miss Altdorf. The best virtual Sports Day ever! Mr Rooney
