Like gardeners all over the country, the Prep Gardening Club have been getting the Prep garden ready for winter.  With the last of our annual vegetables harvested – the runner beans were deemed to be a great success! – attention has turned to clearing up the garden beds.  The last of our sunflowers and marigolds have been consigned to the compost bin, but not before we harvested the seeds ready for next year’s planting.   We’ve begun to tackle the invasive weeds in our strawberry patch – Hamza has become particularly expert at repotting the strawberry plants mistakenly pulled out, and potting on the runners.  The beds have been dug over, pots tidied away, and we’re ready for extra compost and manure ready to feed the beds for our spring planting.  Make sure you’re doing the same at home!
