The U11 Rounders teams entered the ISA competition on Wednesday 22nd May. The tournament was a round robin style and first up was QE. We had a strong batting innings and scored a strong 20 rounders. However QE were equally as strong and just managed to beat us scoring 25 rounders. After two more losses to Alderley Edge girls and Bowden Preparatory School and a near loss to The Grange 10-18, we were still searching for for our first win. Next up was Highfield Priory and we fielded to our best ability, only letting them score 13 rounders. We needed some good batting from our girls and Freya, Holly, Jessica and Allegra all scored 2 points. With two balls left we needed 3 to draw or 4 to win. It was very tense but Anya was triumphant and gained 3 points for us resulting in a draw. Our last match was against The Grange B team who we comfortably beat. Player of the tournament went to Ellen who was effective in both the field and batting, she was also our top scorer of the day!
