Knight to H5 – Checkmate! Prep Chess Success

Four intrepid chess players recently represented the school at the Association of Junior Independent Schools (AJIS) Chess Festival for the North West of England.  Prep V’s Joe and Alia secured silver and bronze medals respectively, while from Prep IV Aryan also won bronze.  His classmate (not checkmate!) Nathan went one better, winning a gold medal.

Well done to these four participants, who train with Mr. Wilson on a Monday lunchtime in the Chess Club.  New members are always welcome!
