Once again, our enthusiastic Junior Gardeners have been busy in the Prep. garden. Our runner beans were harvested and each of our team went home with a handful for consumption at home – we’ll be interested to see what they think of them once they are cooked. The seed pods for our sweet peas have been saved – if we get as good a crop next year as we did this year, we’ll be delighted! We had a healthy crop of onions that we had grown from seed, and these are now drying in the library. Bits of our strawberry patch were weeded, although there is much more to do. Finally, our potato bed was weeded and dug over, ready for whatever we choose to put in it next. For a brief lunchtime session, we got a lot done!
