Magna Visit

Magna is a science centre set in the former Templeborough steelworks. Over 100 hands-on exhibits themed on Air, Earth, Fire and Water recall the ‘elements’ needed for making steel. It is a vast building, 1/3rd of a mile long and 150ft high, rich with the industrial heritage of the region’s steel industry.

KS2 descended on the centre today to not only explore the four themed exhibits, but to also undertake a hands on science workshop for each class.  Prep III experienced Volcanoes and Rocks, Prep IV Sound, Prep V Stars and Planets and Prep VI Big Circuits, all designed to complement their learning in the classroom.
