U11s overcome Clarendon Cottage

Our fixture today was against Clarendon Cottage but played away at Eccles College on their all weather pitch – although there was some concern this morning whether a pitch covered in heavy snow would still be suitable for play.  Orange balls, perhaps, like the good old days?

With an early afternoon thaw and plenty of rain, these fears were unfounded.  We quickly found our stride and, although the half time score was 4-0 in our favour, we had still been reliant on a couple of fine saves from Thomas in goal to thwart a determined Clarendon side.  It got a little easier in the second half but as heads went down slightly from Clarendon, and we ran out eventual 10-0 victors.
