Mud, mud, glorious mud…

An impressive team of 37 athletes travelled to Beech House School near Rochdale for the Independent Schools Association (ISA) northern area cross country championships.  The lush green grass of the holding area proved deceptive – our U10 team of girls came back after the first race of the day covered in mud (just look at Ellen in the pictures), and so it went on from there.  Despite several trainers being lost in the mud, most were retrieved at the end of the racing.  Full results will hopefully follow, but special mention should go to Ellen, Matthew H, Daniel, Millie, Raya and Eoghan, who finished top of the Bridgewater runners in their age categories.

We hope your washing machines survive tonight’s ordeal!
