KS1 visit the Victorians

20161013_095236Key Stage 1 stepped back in time today into the Victorian era. As part of our topic on Houses and Homes, we had a great look at the lives of people living in Victoria England. From weighing out dried peas for supper to visiting the cobbler; washing clothes in a dolly tub to using carbolic soap. We were shocked to learn that poor children had to share a bedroom with their entire family and had to make toys out of wooden pegs! All of the children now know how to do the washing, without the assistance of a washing machine …. parents- do what you will with this information! 😁😁
