It was an excitable bunch of Prep III and IV pupils who travelled to Brabyns School in Marple, Stockport on Friday for football and netball matches.
The boys were up first, and a brace from Zach Taylor and Oliver Andrzejczuk quickly put Bridgewater in charge with the score 3-0 at half time. However, it was a different Brabyns team who came out for the second half, and before we knew it we were level at 3-3. Oliver and Zach repeated their first half scores to settle the nerves and the final score was 6-3 to Bridgewater.
The girls demonstrated a maturity of passing and movement in their netball game, and with the killer instinct of Star Son in front of the post, Bridgewater were always in control of this game. At times, Miss Williams was positively purring with excitement at the way the girls linked together to play. The final score was 11-5 to Bridgewater, with Star scoring 9 and Millie Fischer chipping in with two scores.
Well done to all the children for their efforts and enthusiasm, not least in their singing in the bus on the way home.
