Last Friday, Mr. Grant led the cross country club through Worsley Woods to give the children a taste for really wet running conditions through some fantastic muddy puddles. Not only was it muddy, it wasn’t all flat running, as these pictures show – several runners this week had to scramble on their knees to reach the top of one slippery hillock. Needless to say, the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves – we’re not quite so such that parents enjoyed the dirty running gear that came home quite as much!
There has been great enthusiasm for cross country this term, and we hope that there will be lots of attendees at the first of the Salford Schools cross country races this weekend. Letters did go out to all cross country club members, but if you did not get a letter it is still possible to attend – simply turn up on the day in good time for your race and let Mr. Suter know you’re there – then make sure you give Mr. Suter your place card at the end of the race.
